“NOTHING GETS IN THE ROAD OF A MAN & HIS BEER IN KAL.”

A video of a man enjoying a beer outside a Kalgoorlie pub during a storm that uprooted trees and damaged homes has gone viral, with social media users admitting they are mesmerized by his “fair dinkum” Aussie spirit.

The video, posted to TikTok by user vzmith, shows a man sitting outside The Rec Hotel in Boulder with a pint of beer appearing unphased as extreme winds batter the front of the premises.

Debris is seen flying through the air, chairs topple over and another man is seen trying to shield himself from the wind.

But even as a tree branch falls onto a parked car, the brave man, equipped in yellow high-vis, braces for a sip of beer during the weather chaos.

The footage — has been viewed more than 600,000 times and gained more than 75,000 likes.

The large storm battered WA from around midnight Tuesday 12th of Sep, with the Goldfields region recording wind gusts of 94 km/h.

The SES received more than 40 calls from members of the public, while the Department of Fire and Emergency Services received more than 260 calls.

By Thursday 14th of Sep, 10,000 homes were out of power around the State — the bulk of those in the Goldfields.
