Last week, I heard news of another young man who came to faith through watching The Truth of It videos in recent years.
It was another reminder that no matter how bad things seem in our world, God is always at work.
I’VE NOT CHANGED MY “MESSAGE OR MISSION”
Given the changes in recent months, some may wonder whether that is a bygone era. I assure you, it is not. My message has not changed, and the mission continues, albeit with some updates and tweaks (good ones!)
GOD IS SUFFICIENT: We will still show people that the word of God is sufficient to answer the world as we encounter it today. That was the unstated purpose of The Truth of It, to bring the clarity of Scripture to bear on the chaos of what’s happening in our time.
Therefore, more video content, teaching, and resources will be coming through Answers in Genesis.
EQUIPPING PEOPLE: We will still equip people to live in “Babylon.” Just as Daniel and the people of God were swallowed up inside a pagan nation for a time, we are finding ourselves entering our own Babylon experience. We should not be despondent and paralysed—we have work to do. We are the salt and the light. We are the evangelists. We are the overcomers.
GOSPEL FIRST APPROACH by A i G : Therefore, Answers in Genesis will bring you relevant opportunities to act as salt and light.
Finally, I’ve always wanted people to be convicted, that the only thing which will finally save us is the gospel of Jesus Christ. All other, lesser hopes are idols which will prove worthless one day.
Therefore, you will always find a gospel first approach at Answers in Genesis Australia.
How will God use this? I don’t know exactly. But I know He uses the testimony of his people in the Babylon’s of this world to somehow, always, against the odds, advance His cause.
CONFESSIONS: I confess I lost my optimism for a brief period after the recent unexpected change of circumstances. But that was wrong of me. As time goes on, I can see that the liberty to pursue these priorities will be even greater at Answers in Genesis, and the scope will be international.
But why Genesis, you may ask? Simply because that is where we find so many of the answers that our contemporary world is craving. From the culture wars to the gospel of Jesus Christ, Genesis contains the basic foundations for them all.
