Q: Will we get the Truth about UFOs/UAPs/USO’s?
Featuring: Rep. Tim Burchett U.S. Congressman | Tennessee, District 2
So, one of the big things that I do want to ask you about is there’s this revelation in the last couple weeks about what the government knows about UFOs.
What should we as citizens know?
We should be asking the question, what are we spending tens of millions of dollars on if they don’t exist?
Why in the world do we have people within departments telling us what they do exist and then somebody else says they don’t? And why should some punk with a man bun tell the members of Congress that the president’s on a need-to-know basis?
I think we should know all the answers to all those. It’s not about little green men. It’s not about flying saucers, bad government.

It’s about the truth. It’s about transparency. ~ Rep. Tim Burchett
In February 2026, President Donald Trump directed the Pentagon and other U.S. government agencies to begin identifying and releasing files related to Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), and extraterrestrial life. This directive, prompted by "tremendous interest shown by the public," came amid renewed scrutiny following comments on the topic by former President Barack Obama

Key Aspects of the 2026 Directive & Disclosure:
Scope of Directive: The order covers UAP, UFOs, and alien life, focusing on releasing “as much as we can” from government records, including material from the Department of Defense.
“Very Interesting” Documents: Trump stated that the process is underway and that officials have identified “many very interesting documents”.
Timeline: The first releases are expected to begin soon, following a review of the documents.
Support & Oversight: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who chairs a congressional task force on UAPs, praised the decision, noting she looked forward to reviewing footage, photos, and reports with the public.
Context: The directive follows years of increasing pressure from Congress, military whistleblowers, and public interest in finding out about UAP sightings, with the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) managing a growing caseload.
Background Information:
Pentagon Position: A 2024 Pentagon report previously indicated that most UFO sightings were ordinary objects, such as drones, balloons, or satellites, and that there was no evidence of extraterrestrial technology.
2026 Status: Despite the promise of disclosure, official bodies like AARO have maintained that a significant number of cases remain unresolved due to insufficient data, while continuing to investigate
The move is part of an ongoing effort to bring transparency to government investigations of anomalous aerial objects, a topic that has seen significant bipartisan attention in Congress and increased public curiosity.
