CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE APTEEN: Buckle Up Folks

I sat down in Texas with Congressional candidate @ApteenVaziri, a refugee who fled the Iranian Revolution, to discuss the chilling parallels between the fall of Iran and the current state of the West.

The “unholy alliance” between Marxists and Islamists

Why he believes mosques are being used as political outposts

How “career politicians” are selling out Texas to foreign interests

This is a man who has seen the movie before and is refusing to let it happen in America.

The common trauma people in Islamic countries, Muslim households or communities shared. There’s no such thing as Islamophobia, a phobia by, definition is irrational, unreasonable fear. The Islamotrauma people experienced makes it very rational to fear Islam. This new term is coined by a Iranian woman.

“We’ve lived under a brutal theocracy for 43 years and have Islamotrauma.”

“My Islamotrauma is that I was molested by my uncle continuously at the ages of 4-5.”

“As an Iranian queer woman, I have been the victim of Islamotrauma for 22 years (and it’s still going on). I was forbidden of going to classes that had boy participants. My parents are extremely homophobic and every day I had to sit through their hatred for my people.”

“My brother received 80 lashes for drinking alcohol at his friend’s wedding 15 years ago. We all have Islamotrauma.”
